Cue Privacy Policy

Cue is designed around explicit capture, editable review, account isolation, and data minimization. This policy describes the Android Cue app and keyboard, not the other services available on The Branding Story.

Information you choose to provide

Cue may store your Cue account identifier, your own dating-profile details, reply personas, connection names and profile details, conversation messages you confirm, drafts you intentionally create in Cue, and the reply ideas generated from that context.

Profile and conversation screenshots can contain photos, names, biographical details, message text, and other information visible in the image. Add only information you are permitted to use.

Keyboard and screen-capture boundaries

Cue assistance is limited to supported, non-sensitive conversation fields. Passwords, one-time codes, payment fields, unsupported apps, private/no-learning fields, and uncertain contexts use a standard context-free keyboard. Cue does not save text typed in those fields.

Cue does not monitor conversations in the background. Capture begins only after you open Cue Capture and approve Android's system consent. Cue acquires at most one frame, stops the capture immediately, and presents a separate review screen. Nothing from that frame is added to conversation history until you choose the Cue connection, correct the content, and confirm it.

How information is used

Cue uses the context you approve to organize your saved connections, detect repeat imports, prepare editable openers and replies, apply your selected reply persona, restore unfinished Cue drafts, protect the service, enforce request limits, and respond to support or deletion requests.

Cue never automatically presses Send in another app. Choosing a reply only places editable text in the host composer; you decide whether to edit or send it.

AI processing and service providers

When a live AI feature is available, Cue sends only the profile images, reviewed capture, message context, persona, or draft needed for that request to Cue's protected service. That service may use Google Gemini to extract visible content or generate reply ideas. Provider credentials stay on the service and are never stored in the Android app.

Hosting, authentication, security, and AI infrastructure providers process data only to operate Cue under their applicable service terms. Cue does not sell personal information, build advertising profiles, or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Storage and retention

Saved profiles, conversations, personas, and Cue drafts are stored in account-scoped encrypted app storage on your device until you delete them, reset Cue, or delete your account. A captured conversation frame is an encrypted temporary review item and is removed when the review ends or its short safety timeout expires.

Cue's service keeps the minimum encrypted request state needed for reliable delivery, replay protection, security, and cost control. Completed request results expire no later than 24 hours and normally shorten to a five-minute grace period after the app acknowledges them. Limited security, deletion, and release records may be retained longer when needed to prevent abuse, prove deletion, meet legal obligations, or protect service integrity; they do not contain message, profile, screenshot, or reply text.

Security and account separation

Cue uses encrypted transport for beta service requests, Android Keystore-backed protection for device secrets, account-scoped encrypted storage, short-lived authorization, and strict separation between Cue connections. Screenshots are visual evidence only: a visible name, avatar, or app screen does not automatically prove a dating-platform account or conversation identity.

Your choices and deletion

You can edit reviewed content before saving, archive or permanently delete a Cue connection, clear drafts, and use Reset to remove Cue's visible local data. Account deletion removes the account-scoped data under Cue's control, subject only to narrow legal, fraud-prevention, and deletion-proof records.

See the Cue account deletion page for the current request process.

Children

Cue is intended only for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Contact and policy changes

Questions, privacy requests, and complaints can be sent to cue@thebrandingstory.com. If Cue's data practices materially change, this page and its effective date will be updated before the change applies to beta users.
